Community Development Programs in Khandwa & Jhabua District (Rural)

(Aulia, Dharampuri, Sirpur & Badidhamini Clusters)

Community Development Program, was initiated in 2009 with the aim of creating awareness among the people about their constitutional Rights for basic amenities such as Education, Health, Nutrition, empowerment of women, safe drinking water, housing etc. Presently CDPs works with CBOs (Community Based Organisation) like Children group, SHG group, women vikas manch, adolescent group, women Nyaya Choupal group and government agencies like Panchayati Raj, Police department, URJA women help desk, Education department, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), women and child welfare etc. we are working in 34 villages of Aulia, Dharamapuri, Sirpur & Badidhamini clusters.

  • Uday social development society in rural area skilled 718 dropout adolescent and illiterate women in tailoring, soft toys making, knitting and embroidery since 2015 to 2022. About 235 of them are self-employed, 55 of them have taken loan from Khadi Gram Udhyog yojna, SHG and NRLM to equip themselves and began contributing to their family income.

  • BSSK has been initiated from 2016 in 33 villages of Khandwa and Jhabua district to mainstream the dropout and weaker children to school. BSSK is animated by the educated youth of the same village who are trained to educate the children in child friendly classrooms. So far 7018 children have benefited from this initiative.

Uday Mahila Vikas Manch mobilized from government schemes, District Panchayat fund, Block Panchayat fund, MLA fund & Panchayat fund for village community development. 49 CC road constructed and 6 ICDS building renovation done by mobilizing government fund about Rs.2,02,50,000/-, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna 1024 houses constructed with fund.
